Loading Lags

When I navigate the website, the loading is very slow, many times slower than if I directly go to the page.

Cant get any information on the website. Ubuntu, firefox... but seems it is not problem of my system...

Same thing for me on Ubuntu, Firefox or Chromium. I do get the header and footer though. Apparently the client can't retrieve data from the server :
"Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at ws://meteorpedia.com/sockjs/196/sssb4t_d/websocket."

+1 Using OSX and Chrome. Incredibly slow loading makes it impossible to view contents at times. My connection works fine in other websites.

Hi All. Uber apologies, for some reason my notifications were turned off for this repo! In any event, as you noticed, the code here is based off a really old version of Meteor and is not actively maintained.

I've been working for some time on a complete rewrite from scratch, using all the latest Meteor practices, and introducing some super cool new features, some of which are almost done, but unfortunately, there is no ETA, as work priorities prevent me from actively working on this. I could guess around June 2016 :>

To be clear though, the current site is still up and running and all content will be imported into the new version when it's ready. I thank you all for your contributions and patience.

Hi all, that's disappointing to hear.. loading times are pretty good for me. But looking back at the date, we did experience some issues back then... is it possible this is working now? In any event what we really need is fast-render, which of course will be in v2 as per the above.
