I was wondering if someone could test this LYNNDM GJX-4G-17 19dBi Yagi Antenna to see what the gain at 915 MHz really is. It should be a cheap (current price is 33.67 USD) way of getting at least 14 dBi to maximize directional range. However, it probably requires reducing the transmit power based on the expected gain.
The seller indicated the gain at 915 MHz might be higher, at 20 dBi, which seems unusual for this type of Yagi antenna. For example, a separate 23 dBi Yagi ( more expensive with the frequency range 860-1880 MHz ) had 820MHz-960MHz tested to determine a gain in the range 14-16.2 dBi.
