Item preview closing when editing "not new" item

Right now if you accidentally click next to the item preview whilst editing the item the preview is closed, which can cause a lot of confusion.

The best thing would be if you cannot close the item preview whilst editing an item.

I agree that this is a problem, but I dislike this solution

reasons:

• Introducing exceptional behaviour creates confusion as it creates inconsistency
• this way the user doesn't get to visualize the item preview that he is also afecting

Confusion is created by having an item popup that can be closed whilst editing, as we noted when testing the platform with Vanilla Vice. Visualizing the item preview is not a priority as the true "meat" of the items is the popup, and frankly I doubt anyone will ever care to see what the item preview looks like when editing.

Personally I think it is best to have a solution right now that can prevent a confusion for the majority of people, and only if users start asking for being able to visualize the item preview then lets work on that.
