When I refresh the browser while logged into a user session, should I see the user selection screen first and completely ignore the home menu that offers BIOS options and the creation of a new loop?

Good point, but I think it is debatable 🤔
Right now we are using GItHub Pages and the browser just to have it working without having to build the binaries each time we are patching. It will be released as an Electron app, native the each OS.
My approach to this was to think at the "browser refresh" as a "power loss / crash / connection lost", saving the players' progress and making a "continue game" available (that resumes the session/save) - hence the main menu when you start the game.
