Non dockerised self hosting

Kindly provide a way to self host without having to use docker. Manual/zip, but no docker please.

Little late but you can already do it without Docker, not sure if it's the proper and correct way though as I haven't really used Docker myself therefore I don't know if I'm missing anything (probably am, like the options available).

This is what I did to make it work:

1. Making sure I'm using PHP 8.3
2. Install composer requirements and npm packages
3. make sure the symlink for storage is set up properly (I had to redo this by removing the /public/uploads file and recreating the symlink to /storage/app/uploads
4. Copy .env.example to .env, I set DB_CONNECTION to sqlite and pointed DB_DATABASE to where the sqlite file will be
5. Ran php artisan migrate
6. Run your Laravel app like normally and it worked for me like that
