You asked about feedback and besides the issues I opened here, we also got nice performance numbers now.
vir-simd helps to give us phenomenal speeupds for our compute-bound kernels in ImpactX, up to order-of-magnitude improvements (w/ SP):

So if GSI is looking for a new particle beam dynamics code for FAIR and related accelerators, send your colleagues over to us please :)
