Describe the bug

When I tap the button "start server" ,nothing happens , screen tweeks for milliseconds and then again the page shows . No IP address . No nothing

To Reproduce

Go to the "APP"
tap the "start server".

Expected behavior

When I tap the button start server . It should start the server as well as it should give me the IP . Which is not happening

I actually had the same problem on my Android 11/LineageOS 18.1 device. First on WiFi, then with hotspot on, "Waiting for network". Problem resolved after connecting another device to the hotspot. Then it worked fine, just confusing.

Also the "Waiting for network" message is hard to read on this device.

On my Android 16/LineageOS 23.2 device, everything worked perfectly, WiFi only (no hotspot), and the "Waiting for network" message looks just fine.

This issue could use a useful title.

Thanks for the app! Helping me hugely with a (long overdue😅) transfer to a new device, large files, in the road with crummy Internet. Life saver.

Hi, @zultron , some points about the issues you report.

1. Navigating the maze of net interfaces is not easy,. I try to determine whatever you have wifi/hotspot, using the interfaces names (there is no standard way), and I probably miss something in that check: see

Considering linageOS, is open source , there is probably a way to find the missing check (might be that wifi isnt marked as TRANSPORT_WIFI? on linage 18)

2. About the UI text, that's an issue I thought I already solved a long time ago, it's interesting it reappeared again. I don't have android 11 to test this with.

Can you check which network interfaces your linageOS 18 shows as up?
