Dear Stefano and Julian,

How could I set up the routine for the problem in PyCG_DESCENT? As for example it is done in original CG_DESCENT?
I try to establish any correlation between the C and Py projects. But it is a bit hard to understand.

Hi Myroslav,

you can find the documentation for the PyCG_DESCENT class here. At the moment the cost function needs to be implemented as a class inherited from pele BasePotential, another library with which we work a lot. To install pele refer to its readme here. To give you an idea of the setup I have implemented a minimal working example here, take a look, it should be enough to get you started. If you have any more questions please let me know.

@js850 I've been meaning to do that for a long time, just never got around
doing it and I think it's the biggest barrier to using this implementation.
I'll push it up on my to-do list.

I wondered if it would be possible to extend this project to solve Constrained Optimal Control problems. like in OPTCON of Shuo Li and Haager.

Hi Myroslav, contributions to the repository are welcome, although this
seems to be something for which you'd build a separate repository. You
could try to wrap OPTCON in a similar way to how I wrapped CD_DESCENT.
