I'm a long-time programmer and I can usually figure out most things without much guidance. I've been going through your code trying to figure out just how to wire a simple example to get this working. I've created several MIDI projects before and I use the Adafruit MIDI Featherwing Kit. I have the Featherwing Kit using GP16 and GP17 on my Raspberry Pi Pico for MIDI in. What do I need to change in the ml_synth_organ_example config.h (you have MIDI_RX2_PIN and MIDI_RX1_PIN, MIDI_TX1_PIN)? Then, I want to do a simple PWM audio out until I get an I2S audio board. What pin is being used for PWM? In your video "Raspberry Pi Pico 2 - hands on with audio application - ported Organ and FM synthesizer" it looks like you have 2 wires coming from GP0 and GP1 (but, I'm not sure). If so - why 2 wires and I'm assuming the 3rd is GND?
So, you can imagine if I'm someone who has programmed since the 1980s - that beginners could probably use a simple wiring guide as an example. Thanks for your work and I can't wait to get this working. BTW - the MIDI controller I'm using is an old Oxygen 8 V. 2.
