Why it can not show 2D objects on Rviz

For some reason your Rviz is not getting the Lidar scan data. Try posting screenshots of your ROS2 terminals, Arduino serial monitor.

I have the question that my group's topic is to make a remote control car like yours that displays 2D on the computer, but I use 4 encoder motors like this. However 4 encoder is not support on your project because your firmware only support 2 encoder. And the reason why I don't do this project like you because I already bought the base and 4 motors. Because of limited finances, I cannot buy an engine like yours.

I use your firmware 0.8.2 and I did exactly like your video tutorial but I can't see any change in Rviz. Addition if I use this engine that I bought(4 encoder but the torque and pulse is lower than yours ), Can I do this project ? If It can't possible please advise me so I can move another option to meet the deadline.

I need to see your ROS2 command line.

Assuming scan data gets to your ROS2 PC, most likely you're missing lidar_model:=SLAMTEC-RPLIDAR-A1 in your command line, see https://github.com/kaiaai/kaiaai documentation.

The yellow motors with optical encoders are NOT suitable for this project. One of the reasons is that their resolution (pulses per wheel rotation) is (far) too low to control the motor speed in a reliable fashion, especially at low speeds.

The cheapest motors suitable for this project are the N20 encoder motors that come with the kit.

Lastly, the firmware does not support a 4 wheel drive.

Obviously I made the lidar spin before, only the error was not displaying Rviz, but now there is another error that the lidar does not spin.
