F1R3FLY Docker Network

Quick Start

Start the Network

docker-compose -f shard-with-autopropose.yml up

Stop the Network

docker-compose -f shard-with-autopropose.yml down

Fresh Restart

When the network runs, a data/ directory is created to store blockchain state and node data.

To completely reset the network to genesis state:

# Stop the network first
docker-compose -f shard-with-autopropose.yml down

# Remove all blockchain data 
rm -rf data/

# Start fresh
docker-compose -f shard-with-autopropose.yml up

⚠️ Warning: Removing the data/ directory will permanently delete all blockchain history, blocks, and state.

Observer Node

The observer node provides read-only access to the blockchain without participating in consensus. It's useful for:

  • API queries and data retrieval
  • Monitoring blockchain state
  • Applications that need blockchain data without validator responsibilities

To start the observer (requires running shard network):

# First ensure shard-with-autopropose is running
docker-compose -f shard-with-autopropose.yml up

# Then start observer
docker-compose -f observer.yml up

To stop the observer:

docker-compose -f observer.yml down

The observer will connect to your running validator network and sync blockchain data for read-only operations.

Genesis Configuration

Wallets.txt - Funded Accounts

The following wallets are included in genesis/wallets.txt and have funds available on network startup:

  • Bootstrap Node - Has initial REV balance for network operations
  • Validator_1 - Funded for transaction fees and operations
  • Validator_2 - Funded for transaction fees and operations
  • Validator_3 - Funded for transaction fees and operations
  • Autopropose Wallet - Funded for automated contract deployments and gas fees

Bonds.txt - Network Validators

The following validators are included in genesis/bonds.txt and participate in consensus:

  • Validator_1 - Bonded with 1000 stake
  • Validator_2 - Bonded with 1000 stake
  • Validator_3 - Bonded with 1000 stake

Note: Bootstrap node and Validator_4 are not in bonds.txt and do not participate in consensus validation.
