Show & use images does not work

We don't know if it's a bug in TYPO10 but three extensions have the same problem now. DropboxFAL, your extension, and the extension we're developing for a digital asset management. As soon as you refer to the local storage as _processed folder, you are not able to show the image because it is searching for the original image in the LocalDriver.php. And of course, the image stays in your GDrive storage.

Reproduce:

• just install the extension and select a folder of your GDrive.
• go in FileList and try to click the show button
• InvalidArgumentException appears because the file does not exist in LocalDriver.php

Yes, thank you for bringing it up. I think it is a bug in v10. I originally thought it was something about my implementation, but hearing that you have the same problem I think it's probably in core.

Semi-related: Do you also think there should be some thumbnail API added? I see TYPO3 will download the whole file just to generate a thumbnail. Google Drive allows you to download thumbnails specifically, and they're handy if the image original is a large file.

Thanks for answering so fast @mabolek. We just found out that we have implemented everything correctly and it works well with TYPO3 V9. We were stuck at this problem in V10 for a long time now. It has to be in core. I also created an issue in TYPO3:

EntermediaDB also allows grabbing cropped pictures out of the box for thumbnails for example. It would be a good idea but maybe their argument is that we can cache.

@saschabrockel Are you still experiencing this issue? I tested in TYPO3 10.4.16 and I am unable to reproduce the issue.

@mabolek we had to use it for our university project. Since we finished we're not using TYPO3 anymore. So I am not up-to-date about the problem, sorry.
