What's the problem you're trying to solve?
The application lacks support for Hardware volume. When I use my Fiio DAC, when using exclusive mode with bit-perfect option turned on, there is no way to control device volume. When exclusive is not but bit-perfect off, accoring to the full audio path, it applies gain on the audio stream.
Hardware volume would avoid gain application (thus the audio stream being completely bit-perfect), while volume can still be set.
What would you like to see?
I don't know how the app code deals with volume, but I think using hardware volume when exclusive mode and bit-perfect is both on would be great.
