Any way to autologin for MT5 terminal for docker instance?

I can't find a way to auto login to the instance. In case of a crash, it basically requires to click OK. Which is problematic if launching this from a docker.

Yes, I know it's an issue. The best apprach would be auto-reconnect on crash, but I still don't know how to do it :/

I have played around, noticed that with Wine11.0 it doesn't trigger the confirmation (auto logins) but it has cert issues.
I am basically trying to create docker image from scratch to find what triggers it.

I rebuilded the container focusing on starting terminal64.exe without confirmation. This is just a sandbox.

This image of pywine:3.14 contains Wine11.0.

I was playing inside docker shell trying to kill and restart terminal64.exe to find what causes the prompt.

What funny is:

• I added the /portable
• Removed the mt5cfg.ini from parameters (this seems like the cause)??

Now the terminal64.exe starts without prompting me to login. Perfect. Even if i stop the container fully and restart.
Maybe I unnecessarily reconstructed the image, but thanks to that I learned something.

We technically don't need the mt5cfg.ini file assuming that once we log in via GUI once and it remembers. But I will check if there is a way to use the mt5cfg.ini file in parameters without triggering that ugly window.

My two cents here: mt5cfg.ini is intended to set the Automatic Trading on in MT5, as it comes disabled as default. This is mandatory so the order routing works.

In theory, if you keep this as it is in the settings (not default, but like in picture), then automatic trading will be enabled always without the mt5cfg.ini for that account.

The problem comes, when the trader wants to switch the accounts.
Ideally the Terminal UI should be buried in code and controlled with code without ever touching the UI.
I believe it is achievable, including the installation part, but it requires creative solutions.

Yes — you can automate the MT5 login dialog on Linux using xdotool or by passing credentials directly via the Wine environment. Here's what worked for me in a headless Docker setup:

Option 1: xdotool to click through the dialog

The pre-configured terminal.ini approach is the most reliable — MT5 reads it on startup and skips the login prompt entirely. Make sure the .ini file is in place before wine mt5.exe runs.
