Request - Local Encoder Presets

A fresh idea.... Local Encoder Presets

Allow named (varchar 10-20) storage of complete single encoder + push button presets.
Add new section under macros, that would allow save and recall these presets on the active encoder.
Allow delete and possibly rename of stored presets.
Sort the list alphabetically, optionally allow other sorting options.

Use cases:

1. Store the most frequently used encoders for a given instruments for easy re-use on secondary EC groups next to specific "single EC group only" controllers
2. Allow easy creation of various "multi-device EC group setups" with access to the most important controllers of for example a set of 4 instruments in a single EC group
3. Store some global controllers such as master tempo or for example controllers for operating a universal synth presets librarian and re-use them (together with a couple of presets from the first example) for creating single synth focused EC groups to have on hand while doing patch library maintenance chores.

Just to make sure: You have discovered the copy/paste feature, right (hold alt and hover encoders)?

It works cross-bundle, so you could have a bundle that serves only as a collection of encoder presets and then copy from there. It's perhaps more clicks but it also already exists :)

Of course you can copy entire groups and setups as well the same way.

Yes, the copy feature is the single most important / transformative improvement over the original editor in my books.

The benefit of the proposed idea would be mostly the convenience.

Your suggestion for the "intermediary" setup with collection of encoder presets is s good idea, let me start there, thanks!
