TestDataConfig unitAdditionalBuild does not appear to be working

Using this block does not appear to be working and the TestDataConfigurationHolder method

List getUnitAdditionalBuildFor(String domainName)

Does not appear to be called at all in the plugin

It works for us in our project, do you have an example you can provide? It may only work in unit tests, I can't recall for sure.
