Bug Report

After running Home Assistant Core Update 2025.1.1 my information collected using my Current Cost EnviR stopped
When I noticed the problem (24 hours later) I restored my most recent HA backup and all was OK again.
When Home Assistant Core Update 2025.1.2 was released I created a fresh backup the installed the update.
Same problem again
I've looked through the information relating to the latest HA updates and can't find anything listed that would obviously cause this problem

Just tried the update again and this time did a config check after it and got this message

Configuration warnings
Platform error 'sensor' from integration 'currentcost' - cannot import name 'POWER_WATT' from 'homeassistant.const' (/usr/src/homeassistant/homeassistant/const.py)

Done some more digging but not really understanding what I find

from the Custom Component "sensor.py" file

from homeassistant.components.sensor import PLATFORM_SCHEMA, SensorEntity, SensorDeviceClass, SensorStateClass
from homeassistant.const import CONF_NAME, CONF_UNIQUE_ID, CONF_DEVICES, EVENT_HOMEASSISTANT_STOP, POWER_WATT
import homeassistant.helpers.config_validation as cv

If I comment out the "POWER_WATT" then my config check passes OK but the CurrentCost component still doesn't work

Same problem. No data with last update

I have no knowledge of any of this but asked ChatGPT to fix the code. These two changes to /homeassistant/custom_components/currentcost/sensor.py did the trick.

Change rows:

from homeassistant.const import CONF_NAME, CONF_UNIQUE_ID, CONF_DEVICES, EVENT_HOMEASSISTANT_STOP, POWER_WATT
to
from homeassistant.const import CONF_NAME, CONF_UNIQUE_ID, CONF_DEVICES, EVENT_HOMEASSISTANT_STOP, UnitOfPower

self._unit = POWER_WATT
to
self._unit = UnitOfPower.WATT
