Bug description
Since a few days or weeks, file/folder selection dialogs used for saving files do not get keyboard focus reliably. When the dialog appears in apps like Firefox or VS Code, pressing Esc or Enter has no immediate effect, and I have to click the dialog with the mouse first.
Steps to reproduce
- Open an application such as Firefox or VS Code.
- Trigger a save dialog or folder selection dialog (e.g. ctrl-S in VS Code, or right-click on an image to save it in Firefox).
- Try pressing Esc or Enter without clicking the dialog first.
- The keys do not act on the dialog until I give it focus manually.
Expected behavior
The save or folder selection dialog should receive focus immediately when it opens, so Esc and Enter work normally (i.e., respectively dismiss the dialog or trigger the Save button).
Additional information
The bug started some days/weeks ago. I run updates on my PC once a week.
