I encountered a similar issue. It seems that the extension tries to spawn a language server binary, but the binary is built for aarch64 and fails to run on a x64 system. I believe this happens because the ReadyToRun option is set for release builds and the publish script doesn't set an explicit arch.

It was possible to run the extension by building/publishing XamlLanguageServer locally and replacing it in the extension installation directory (here ~/.vscode/extensions/lextudio.vscode-wpf-<version>/tools/XamlLanguageServer).

clone repo with submodules, publish src/XamlLanguageServer.Wpf/XamlLanguageServer.Wpf.csproj, replace whatever is in ~/.vscode/extensions/lextudio.vscode-wpf-<version>/tools/XamlLanguageServer with the output of the publish.

I also had errors from the WpfProjectAnalyzer:

Solved by doing the same thing for that project.

The error tells you everything you need to know. If you actually took 10 seconds to look through the repo, you would see the submodules, which you are most likely missing.

And, to be completely honest, if you want to work with WPF and not pull all your hear out, just stick to Visual Studio. This extension must be the fifth I've tried, all miss functions, or throw random errors that you go chasing for hours. In VS it just works, because it's meant to work from the start.

@occamzchainsaw I just installed git and used the command line to download the repo with submodules.
I cannot use VS community because the company that I work for does not meet the conditions for the license.
Hence my quest for a XAML designer for VSC...

The build scripts point to it inside WpfDesigner. Looks like the same type of issue, on a different assembly. I have not encountered the exact same problem, but you can find it in the WpfDesigner submodule

Sorry, but I am doing something wrong maybe.
I cloned the repo with "git clone --recurse-submodules -j8 https://github.com/lextudio/vscode-wpf.git"
Then, on VSC terminal, I have run this "npm install typescript -g", after installing nodejs

I have tried to build the whole solution "VSCode.Wpf.slnx" with vsc and the errors listed above keep showing...

I don't know what nodejs has to with this, but the errors seem pretty self-explanatory - the referenced files are missing.

Yes, I got it from reading the errors. But should these files be within the repo? So I can build all the projects and replace these files... Sorry for not knowing how to deal with this...
Should I clone this repo https://github.com/lextudio/wxsg to solve this issue?

You have the path where they should be, so that should tell you whether they are inside the repository, or not. If the path is inside the repo and the files are missing, then you probably haven't cloned everything correctly, or need to update submodules.
