Investigate how to implement the alert to the user when expiry date is reached

This task requires creation of sudo code to alert the user when expiry date has been reached
Your investigation needs to answer these questions:

• how we will alert the user
  • on the app?
  • on their own computer (through their calendar?)
• how the app will keep track of the date
  • the current date is stored in a variable on the app everyday?
