Disallowing symbols in Medicine name input

The medicine name input does not allow for special characters such as '.'. This could limit the user in the types of medication they could input into the system

A medication with name containing numbers and special characters is not appropriate. Hence, our prompt specifying Please enter a proper medication name is to address this issue.

We also encourage you to take a look at all our examples which we have provided in our UG. None of them, including our sample data, contain medication names which consists of such characters.

Unable to take in numbers for medication name

The medication name input is unable to take in numbers. This is not specified in the UG and is a feature flaw as it should be able to take in any inputted medicine name, so as to not, limit the medications that the user can input.

it should be able to take in any inputted medicine name, so as to not, limit the medications that the user can input.

The statement which you have made above is incorrect. We do not limit the medications which user can input. However, we do not accept medications with inappropriate names. A medication with name containing numbers and special characters is not appropriate. Hence, our prompt specifying Please enter a proper medication name is to address this issue.

We also encourage you to take a look at all our examples which we have provided in our UG. None of them, including our sample data, contain medication names which consists of such characters.
