Why this thread exists

Two reasons your reply is genuinely useful:

1. Future adopters can see they're not the first. Open textbooks face a chicken-and-egg problem: instructors hesitate to adopt material they can't see anyone else using, even when the material is good. Visible adoption breaks that loop. I'll periodically distil this thread into a "Who's using this book" section in the repository README, so the signal here compounds into the front-door pitch.
2. The book gets better faster. Knowing where the book lands and how people actually use it directly shapes which chapters get attention in the next revision cycle.

What to share

A short reply is plenty - no essay required. Useful fields:

• Where: Institution, company, or context
• What: Course code, training programme, self-study, or research use
• Since: Roughly when you started using it
• One thing that works well (optional)
• One thing you'd change (optional, and the most useful field to me as the author)

A note on privacy

Anonymise as much as suits your situation — "a pharma company in Europe" or "a graduate programme in chemical engineering at a top-50 university" is just as useful for the social-proof job as a named institution. Don't post anything that would compromise your employer.
