Hosts without services not showing

We have 129 hosts and 142 services (for now. We keep expanding Nagios).

The Chrome extension is only showing 56 hosts and 134 services. Currently 1 host is down, and the Extension is showing a green 56. So it must not be parsing all the way down the list to the downed host.

Any logs or anything I can provide? Currently, this is installed on a private corporate Nagios setup. So remote or public access is not available.

Two things to check first. Please check if you have latest version of Icinga Status (it should be auto updated but want to be sure - latest is 0.1.6).

Then please go to options and on Advanced tab check if you have empty Ignore services and Ignore Hosts.

I think that there can be problem with pagination in nagios but can't be sure as I don't have access to any nagios instance.

How can I check version? I don't see it listed anywhere.

Options > Advanced: Ignore Service is empty. Ignore Hosts is empty.

We have a different frontend theme installed on Nagios. Would this matter?

Right click on extension and choose manage (not sure about exact text as I have localized version) and it will bring you to extension manager where you can see version.

Theme shouldn't matter but can't be sure. If it is possible, you can create me read-only account to your nagios and I'll try to check where the problem is.

Oh right. Okay I am using 0.1.6.

Read only account isn't possible since it's on our heavily-firewalled corporate network. As a test, I went back to the default frontend theme. Still didn't work.

Could it be something with the status.cgi?

Yes, it is almost sure.

Please open your status.cgi with ?host=all&limit=0 argument in browser (something like https://path/to/our/nagios/status.cgi?host=all&limit=0) and check if you can see all 129 hosts or if there is only part of them.

It can also help, if it isn't against your company security policy or something, to simply open this status.cgi page, download it in browser (only html) and send it to me so I can try.

Ok, maybe no need. I tried with nagios demo and I can see that some hosts are missing too. I'll let you know when I have some update

Is is possible that you have servers without services? To be specific that you have 56 servers with some services and rest of them don't have any service defined?

Great idea. Yes we have a bunch of servers with no services. For those servers we are only doing check-host-alive

Ok, this is problem I already knew about but forgot :) I'm using only status.cgi for getting all the data from start. But there are only servers with services and those without are missing. I'll try to fix it soon.
