problems with chat (might be clientside but i haven't figured it out yet)

for some reason i can't see messages from people on 1.21.11 and above (i play on 1.21.4)
i don't know if this has anything to do with the recent chat restrictions mojang placed because my chat was restricted around a month ago and i've been using this mod to get by it;

i tried reporting this to viaversion but they wanted server logs which i can't provide them with since i have no access. all of this kind of just randomly started up a few hours ago today, and i never installed any new mods or anything. the bot logs i was using for reference was from a connection on 26.1.2 and they are able to see all chats without the issues i'm experiencing. i also tried checking my clientside recorded logs and did not have any luck finding the issue

edit: i'm able to see messages from two people on 26.1.2 and 26.2 and both of them told me they have no chat mods, and i can't find any consistency with the messages i'm not receiving if it's related to their versions

Without a list of every mod installed for every involved party, as well as their Minecraft versions, there's not really much help that I can offer here besides recommending that you try a newer version of Minecraft.
