License question

Hi,

I'm trying to package "alert" in Debian. However, the license seems a bit conflicting: the source code comments say it is GPL-2+[1], however, the LICENSE file is BSD-3-Clause. It would be good to clarify which license is intended.

Since this is emacs lisp code, the intended license is GPL-2. I will update the license file.
