codex usage incorrect

I've attached a few screenshots showing how this tool is reporting one thing, and the Codex Chat extension is reporting another. I'd be happy to provide any diagnostic logs that would be helpful in troubleshooting this.

Thanks for reporting this and for including both screenshots.

The current release reads Codex rate limits from local session logs. The screenshots compare 1% used as of 09:27 with 95% remaining at about 09:40, which is equivalent to 5% used. That time gap suggests the local log snapshot was stale, and the tooltip also needs to make the used/remaining direction clearer.

I'm treating this as a bug. The fix will use Codex's documented account/rateLimits/read app-server method as the primary source, retain session logs only as a fallback for older or unavailable Codex installations, and clearly label fallback data and usage percentages. No diagnostic logs are needed from you yet. I'll post another update here when the fix is ready to test or released.
