@jolter/mcp-server

The official Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Jolter — a fast, reliable JavaScript runtime and toolchain manager.

Connect your AI coding assistant (Cursor, VS Code, Claude Desktop, Windsurf) to the full Jolter documentation, configuration schema, and CLI reference.

Installation

Run the MCP server via npx:

npx @jolter/mcp-server

Or install globally:

npm install -g @jolter/mcp-server
jolter-mcp-server

Add to .cursor/mcp.json:

Available Tools

Tool Parameters Description
search_docs query (string) Search Jolter docs by keyword or topic.
get_doc slug (string) Retrieve full Markdown content of a doc page.
list_all_pages — List all documentation pages grouped by section.
get_jolter_info — General info: runtimes, tools, config schema.
explain_config configJson (string) Validate and explain a jolter.json file.
fetch_llms_txt fullBundle (boolean) Fetch /llms.txt or /llms-full.txt.

Available Resources

All 41 documentation pages are exposed as docs:// resources with text/markdown MIME type. Example: docs://quickstart, docs://reference/commands.

Available Prompts

Prompt Description
setup_jolter_ci Generate a GitHub Actions or GitLab CI workflow.
explain_jolter_config Explain jolter.json for team onboarding.
troubleshoot_jolter_issue Diagnose PATH, permission, or runtime issues.
