Actually, that's something I'd like your opinion about. I've created separate files under the docs folder to this end, and I thought of having several howto-pages there. What do you think? For me, the CONTRIBUTING file is for general contribution info, whereas info under the docs folder could be more detailed.

I think the doc folder makes more sense for sure. Also that way there's a possibility to convert it into GitHub Pages in the future if the need arises. 😄
