Spellcheck not working...

Spellcheck not working, although the words from dictionary do appear, when clicked on one of them does nothing
I have downgraded my rednotebook to 2.39 and now it works as it should, i am able to pick correct spelling, i have tried versions greater than 2.39 but it stopped working for some reasons
i have tried it under both x11 and wayland the issue is same

i have downgraded through launchpad.net and had downloaded the latest version through ppa

Versions:

• RedNotebook version 2.42
• Operating system and version: Ubuntu 24.04

i haven't gotten any log in version 2.39 for correcting the spelling but it works, i can assure you that

same log as before better formating:
