I need a libevent client for libevent Server

I need a libevent client to connect to this libevent server , everywhere only libevent server examples are given, what if a person wants a full chat program using libevent as client

Unfortunately I don't have a trivial client example, and am currently not actively using libevent so probably won't be doing one any time soon.
