[FR] Support for non-scheduled items in timeline

I'm really enjoying the TRIP, but the timeline is currently very strict. While fixed times are great for flights, hotels and dinner reservations, I often want to leave an afternoon open for exploring without scheduling every minute.

Describe the solution you'd like

Would it be possible to add a "suggested places" or "wishlist" feature for specific days? I'd love to have a list of selected spots associated with a day that I can choose from in the moment, depending on the weather or my mood.

For example, I could create a time slot "Exploring the city" and attach a list of X places I'm interested in.

Since 1.45.0, plans can be created without a time. Would optional, untimed plans linked to a place meet your need?

For example, I could create a time slot "Exploring the city" and attach a list of X places I'm interested in.

I understand the use case, but I’m not yet sure how it fits the current model: a plan can be linked to one place, rather than supporting a many-to-many relationship. This would be a major upgrade but also a major model shift that would require manual action for every TRIP instances 😓

I've open it in a separate container (browser). Translation fixed 👍

Images are still missing. Also in the "day summary".

🤔 Could it be because it's running locally on HTTP only?

Weird behavior indeed, on these places you have set an image or it has no picture set? I do not see unencrypted http as an issue.

Okay, I double checked the behavior. My bad - I originally thought that these images meant to be icons.

It looks like when a photo is chosen, it displays correctly, but if no photo is selected, it shows a "broken image" icon. Therefore I think only simple condition is missing.

EDIT: Btw, once you set up the image and close the window, it's not possible to remove it. Remove button is missing.

Seeing that the src value was empty in your screenshot is what made me wonder. I would never have been able to spot this bug on my side, since all my POIs always have images.

Indeed, removing an image is not currently display because I've never needed it, nor do I see why someone would. All POIs should have an image for map display, so users should either replace it or keep the original one. Adding this option would clutter the UI in my opinion, unless people regularly need to remove images 👍

I don't want to argue 🙂 however the option to delete/remove selected image (UI) is already there when you pick a picture for the first time. (I understand it likely just set the input value to null.)

It's just that icons are sometimes visually clearer than images, unless they depict a very recognizable place (eg. the Eiffel Tower, Colosseum, ...). Of course, it depends on the icon set.

Anyway, not important, just a thought 🙂
