Please officially update the maintenance status of this repository

Hi Invertase, or @mikehardy,

I - and perhaps the whole community - would highly appreciate if you'd update the status of this repository and inform users that it is unmaintained!

I more or less accidentally stumbled across the (semi?)-official announcement and was quite surprised (and shocked), especially since this is the React Native Notifications Library everything related to Notifications still points to.

In the comment mentioned users are recommended to use expo-notifications instead. I think these are all things worth mentioning to users coming across this repository on the front page - best on all front pages, including https://notifee.app.

Hi everyone,

I've been following this thread and decided to take action. I've forked Notifee and migrated it to React Native's New Architecture (TurboModules), published as [react-native-notify-kit](https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-native-notify-kit).

What's different:

• New Architecture only (TurboModules, no legacy Bridge)
• Android bridge rewritten in Kotlin
• iOS bridge uses Objective-C++ with TurboModule conformance
• Minimum RN 0.73, development target RN 0.84
• Tested on physical devices (Android + iOS, local + FCM push)
• Core notification logic (NotifeeCore) is unchanged — the public API is fully compatible

The migration from @notifee/react-native is a simple package rename — same API, same types, same behavior. Just npm install react-native-notify-kit and replace the imports.
