macOS27 setup account to skip setup assistant

I love the new option to setup account to skip the setup assistant.
I did a feedback to Apple to have an option for the keyboard layout as ABC is not ideal ...
I would love an option where I can have an option to select the user I want from a list in Virtualbuddy as for my tests it is not always the same. ( I saw copy a profile is working and it is already easier than before)

Yeap! Having a list of user accounts to choose from is planned.

Are we aware of specific rules to follow for name and password? it seams password need a level of complexity too... but I didn't found the documentation yet

I do know that I made a mistake in the configuration UI because it allows you to enter an empty password, but the provisioning in Virtualization does not allow that. The minimum length is 4 characters, but I'm not aware of a specific rule for complexity. I'll investigate (and fix the empty password thing as well).

I noticed some strange behavior which an account created during the VM setup. This account is not listed if you query it in code via CSIdentityQueryExecute(). If I create a macOS 27 VM the traditional way and create the first user with Apple's installer assistant then the user is listed. I created a small test app for this: ShowMacUserApp.zip

I'm not sure if this is a bug in Virtual Buddy or in the Virtualization framework.

Actually I see the same bug on an macOS 27 VM from Tart, so I think this is a Apple bug.

Yeap, there's nothing in VirtualBuddy that could change this, I'm just using the Virtualization API as documented by Apple. Good call writing that feedback report.
