It would be great to have a multi add tags / other information to dances in the multi-select mode.

Triage — confirmed (with a scope note: batch tagging already ships; the new ask is batch-editing other fields)

The tag half already exists

Multi-select mode with batch Add tags / Remove tags actions is already implemented and shipped in v0.1.0-beta.3 (landed in #93). In your build: tap the select icon in the Collection app bar, check several dances, then use the two batch actions in the selection app bar:

• batch action buttons: L938-947
• the flow: _batchTag() L721 + batch_tag_dialog.dart

Worth confirming it behaves as you'd expect — if it does, the tagging portion of this request is done.

The genuinely new ask: batch-edit other metadata

You call out "other info like level." The Dance model carries several fields that are not batch-editable today, only per-dance:

• level (DanceLevel?) — dance.dart L98
• rating — L109
• tunes — L111
• customFields — L112

So this issue is best reframed as "generalize the batch action bar beyond tags to set/clear these fields across a selection" (starting with level, the explicit request).

What a fix would involve (conceptually)

Add batch actions parallel to _batchTag (e.g. _batchSetLevel) reusing the exact same select → apply → persist → snackbar-undo flow: iterate the selected IDs, dance.copyWith(level: …), and dances.update(...). copyWith already models set-vs-clear for level via a clearLevel flag, so "set to Intermediate" and "clear level" are both clean. A tiny picker dialog mirroring batch_tag_dialog covers the UI. rating/customFields can follow the same shape if wanted.

Suggested labels

type: enhancement, area: collection, priority: low, beta, status: confirmed (drop status: triage) — scope reframed to non-tag metadata since batch tagging already exists.

Delivered via #422 (squash-merged to main as 75ee8b7): batch set/clear dance level in Collection multi-select. Batch tag add/remove was already shipped (#93); remaining metadata (rating/tunes/customFields) tracked in follow-up #423.
