I find the status here a tad confusing.. on main page there is a big red "failing to build" with no indication if its being dealt with, the build date shows 2020...

Was interested to see if I could try AppImage to make a "portable" Retroarch so I dont have to reinstall each time I rebuild or change distro.. Also the AppImage page doesnt have version numbers so no idea if project is "live" or not...

Dunno what's up with that badge, but it looks like the recipe is still chugging along, with the most recent builds being from 20 hrs ago: https://github.com/hizzlekizzle/RetroArch-AppImage/releases. They always publish to the same tag, which was set up back in 2020, but the builds themselves are up-to-date.

That said, we have an official AppImage here: https://buildbot.libretro.com/stable/1.19.1/linux/x86_64/
