In the interest of fostering an open, welcoming, and productive environment, we as contributors and maintainers pledge to make participation in the SCUM-RCON community a harassment-free experience for everyone. This applies to our GitHub repository, Nexus Mods page, Discord server, and any other official community spaces.
Examples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive environment include:
- Using welcoming and inclusive language: Treat everyone with respect, regardless of their technical background or experience level with server administration.
- Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences: Not everyone runs their server the same way. Be constructive in discussions.
- Providing clear, constructive feedback: When reporting bugs, provide logs, steps to reproduce, and context.
- Respecting the project's nature: Understand that SCUM-RCON is a free-to-use, independently maintained project. Patience regarding bug fixes and feature requests is highly appreciated.
- Respecting the EULA: Adhering to the project's End User License Agreement.
Examples of unacceptable behavior by participants include:
- Harassment or insults: The use of sexualized language, personal attacks, derogatory comments, or political/religious trolling.
- Entitlement or demands: Demanding immediate updates, fixes, or personal technical support. The mod is provided "as is".
- Violating the EULA in community spaces: Promoting, linking to, or sharing unauthorized modified versions, decompiled source code, or unofficial re-uploads of SCUM-RCON.
- Spam: Posting irrelevant content, unsolicited advertisements, or repeatedly bumping issues.
- Other conduct: Anything which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional or collaborative community setting.
The project maintainer(s) (herbie96x / SKRYPT) are responsible for clarifying the standards of acceptable behavior and will take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any instances of unacceptable behavior.
Project maintainers have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that are not aligned to this Code of Conduct, or to ban temporarily or permanently any contributor for other behaviors that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.
This Code of Conduct applies within all official SCUM-RCON project spaces (including GitHub, Nexus Mods, and official Discord channels), and it also applies when an individual is representing the project or its community in public spaces.
Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting the project maintainer(s) directly via GitHub issues, direct messaging on Discord, or via Nexus Mods. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated and will result in a response that is deemed necessary and appropriate to the circumstances. The project team is obligated to maintain confidentiality with regard to the reporter of an incident.
This Code of Conduct is adapted in part from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1, with specific additions tailored to support the SCUM-RCON End User License Agreement and modding community standards.
