A Query Regarding Sample size

Hi,

I do not have an exact issue. I have a query. What would be minimum sample size (How many controls, and how many cases???)one needs to predict the gene expression by PrediXcan?

You can predict in any sample. If you want to find genes associated with a trait, as a general rule you would need enough samples to get some GWAS significant loci. If you are only looking into a smaller genomic region you may need less samples. I hope this helps

Actually we have 21 cases and 21 controls and 28 genetic variants (let's say in 10 genes) only, and for that, we want to run PrediXcan, hope it is quite enough?
