Use the revision specified in the argument, even if that's different from the version used in Cargo.

• This action installs the hax and F* binaries at given revisions
• The Makefile that currently lives in the repo of libcrux leverages Cargo to find hax-lib for typechecking F*
• Your request here is that this last option is overridable

I'm afraid the action installing hax itself has nothing to do with this request.

The solution for bypassing cargo and using the revision of the binary for the library is to modify the Makefile.
If you really want to change proof-libs but not hax-lib, the "best" solution would probably be to change the Makefile so that it:

• run cargo hax --version, parse its output
• checkout hax repo at that commit
• override the PATH to the library

A simpler solution is to run cargo add hax-lib --git https://github.com/cryspen/hax.git --rev the_revision on the crate being extracted, in the CI workflow.
