I have built the hardware and used the Esphome configuration. Twice now I have soldered in the Maxx chip and plugged everything in.
I get flowing communication with the controller through to Genmon until I restart genmon. Then I can see in the logs that genmon tries to talk, but the controller doesn't answer.
The first time I assume a loose solder joint, and I soldered up a new module. It behaved the same way.
I then thought that maybe having it unplugged for a while while I soldered in the new module had "reset" something. So I left it unplugged for a day and tried again. But no connection.
Has anyone seen this behavior? I have a USB to Modbus adapter coming and I plan to connect a laptop to try and see what is happening at the Controller. I need to see if the issue is the Maxx or the controller.
