Differences w/ Antispam software

Just heard about this project from a tweet by Nicolas Crassas. As I understand it, it does more or less part of an antispam software job, like looking at spf record and dkim signature. Are there any differences with antispam software like SpamAssassin for eg. ?

No as of now this is a very basic project just aimed to read the spf headers but i will be adding more improvements. Just as a measure to prevent spoofed phising emails. If you have any suggestions feel free to contribute.

I have no practical contributions to make for the moment as the project is overlapping with what I am currently using (SpamAssassin), Good luck anyway !
