Package not working on Android(EXPO SDK 44)

I have for 8 hours unsuccessfully tried to have this working on Expo SDK 44, I have tried all possible means using the latest version of the package, react re-animated v1 but i haven't been successful, this is a cool project and definitely something any react native dev wants in his/her project, is it possible to provide examples especially for expo with compatible versions of dependencies

Just bumping this, I had to remove this package and completely recode my tab bar after upgrading to SDK 44 due to it not working on Android, namely the tapping functionality stopped working for me. Really loved this tab bar, but it needs some love...
