need manual installation of libiberty

Installed MIAMI on Intel Haswell running Linux 3.16 (Ubuntu).

Installed Pin-2.14 and Binutils-2.25. Everything worked almost seamlessly, except that the default installation instructions for binutils (./configure, make, make install) did not put libiberty in the right place. Needed to manually copy it into /usr/local/lib

Personally, I haven't tried binutils versions more recent than 2.23 with MIAMI until now.
