React testing library render() fails when rendering NGL stage

When attempting to test an app that contains React NGL <Stage/> using React testing library, render() operation fails with error TypeError: Cannot read property 'setParameters' of undefined

Possibly react-ngl doesn't support later versions of React (16+)?

Thank you for reporting an issue.

When I run yarn test in your example project, I got the following error.
I suspect this is the cause of getting uninitialized stage and Cannot read property 'setParameters' of undefined.
I think you need to set up canvas and WebGL for jest before you run the test.

I've attempted to add the following dependencies:
yarn add -D canvas jest-canvas-mock jest-webgl-canvas-mock

In my jest.config.js I've added:

    setupFiles: [
        "jest-canvas-mock",
        "jest-webgl-canvas-mock",
    ],

That didn't help unfortunately, I'm still getting the same error.

Could you please specify which exact dependencies / configurations I should add to make it work?

I've added all canvas and gl dependencies and configurations so far to the create-react-app. The test still fails with the same error. In the threejs test they don't use JSX, which might be related.
