I'm considering adding support to misc research artifacts in a publication list. Common examples include a link to code, project website, slides, etc.
Pros: easy access to such info
Cons: adds clutter, complex to integrate

Consider using same publications.bib file for Alfolio website and its custom .bib fields that already handle such research artifacts. (My CV implementation can use the same custom fields as AlFolio or alternatively put everything in the notes .bib field.)
