Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with the print start sequence on my AD5X (fully updated, ZMod 1.7.4, stock Klipper).
Basically, after the initial purge, the toolhead moves to the front of the bed and traces a line parallel to the bed handle, but without extruding anything. Then, it goes back to purge, cools down the nozzle, moves to the center, and returns to the purge area again. It starts heating up once more (which takes a long time even though the target temperature is already reached), then prints a short, very thick line. After that, it returns to the purge area and prints another short, thick line right below the previous one before finally starting the actual print.
To avoid this behavior, I have to disable the "line purge" option, but then I get no purge line at all. My Start G-code in OrcaSlicer only handles temperature settings and mesh loading; it doesn't include any purge instructions.
In addition to those two lines, compared to when I was on stock firmware, it seems to be performing far too many unnecessary purges. Before, it used to do maybe 1 or 2 purges and then it would start printing immediately.
Does anyone know where I can find the ZMod Start G-code? I’ve looked through the .cfg files but haven't been able to locate it.
