We used the readme to understand the basics of the build system. It is very well written, and I would not change any of it.
After completing it, I found the bldpe jcl member and read through it as well, which lead to the BLDPE3 skel. from our open source meeting, I was aware of the java code needed, and I found that as well. but I wasn't able to connect where the java code is executed in the system.
I might suggest adding to the bottom of the readme a small overview of the process to allow someone to understand that and perhaps some other simple connections.
