Introduction #2

Description

@gadfly16

Overview

Create the foundational introduction document that explains Geronimo from a user perspective with some technical details about the underlying architecture.

Structure

  1. User Perspective - What problem does the software solve? Who is it for? What is the user experience?
  2. Design Philosophy - Why prioritize robustness over performance? Home server rationale
  3. Key Principles - UI contract (only committed/reproducible data), consistency guarantees
  4. Technical Overview - High-level architecture (Go backend, TypeScript frontend, CSP)
  5. Deployment Context - Raspberry Pi 3, home ISP constraints

Deliverables

  • Draft introduction.md in /docs folder
  • Review and refine content
  • Link from main README

Acceptance Criteria

  • Honesty
  • Completeness, in the sense that after reading a user must have the ability to decide if she wants to use it or not
  • Document flows logically from user needs to technical decisions
  • Explains "why" behind major design choices
  • Readable by both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Effort Estimate

Medium (4-5 hours)
