[BUG] The app stages unintended files

Reproduces on the macOS app version 2.69.0
Steps to reproduce:

1. Have multiple unstaged files
2. Select an unstaged file (A)
3. Unfocus the window
4. Double-click on an unstaged file (B)
   Results:
   The first click in step 4 double-click focuses the window. The second click stages the selected file (A) (NOT the clicked file (B))
   Expected results:
   The first click should focus the window. The second click should select the file (B). Nothing should be staged.

I believe it works the same everywhere on macOS. For example in Finder.
