1.20.1 crashes on multiplayer

I'm able to use it just fine in singleplayer, but trying to use the wickedpainting mod on multiplayer just immediately crashes the server

Solution: Update GUILib used in mod in gradle.properties

1. Download source code
2. Open gradle.properties and change "libgui_version = 8.0.0+1.20" to "libgui_version = 8.1.1+1.20.1"
3. Open folder in terminal and run "gradlew build"
4. Copy mod jar file from *\build\libs and use it

i am attempting to do the same thing since using the mod wont let me join my server. and that is not a thing that is present in gradle.properties

after checking the logs. it says this
