Description

@Aequita

Flameshot Version

Flameshot v14.0.0 (e408812)
Compiled with Qt 6.10.3
linux: 7.0.0-28-generic
org.kde.Platform: 6.10

Installation Type

Flatpak from Flathub

Operating System type and version

Linux Mint 22.3 - Cinnamon 64-bit

Description

When copying a screenshot with "Save image after copy", the saved image gets a partly random filename.
Filename when saved: 2026-07-26_20-58-17.jpg
Filename when copied: .xdp-2026-07-26_20-58-22.jpg-lZrwPx
Filename Editor: %F_%H-%M-%S
This behaviour is also reproducable for saves when "Use fixed path for screenshots to save" is selected.

The only mention I found about this topic, was a Q&A from last year that resolved itself:
#4440

Steps to reproduce

  1. Take a screenshot
  2. Copy with CTRL+C
  3. Check Save Path for saved image after copy
